Greetings! The next meeting of the MCCV Working Committees will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. at E&J Gallo Winery, Modesto in the Operations Training Room, Santa Rosa Avenue at Yosemite Blvd and the tentative agenda follows. (If you need a map, please let me know).
This meeting is open to all member companies and invited guests. If you know of someone who might be interested, please issue an invitation or forward this e-mail. Companies may send multiple representatives and you are encouraged to bring up additional issues that may be of interest or concern.
The Working Committees meet monthly on the third Wednesday. They are designed to provide networking and information sharing opportunities to keep member-companies up-to-date on critical issues, as well as to provide in-depth analysis of proposed rules and regulations so MCCV can adequately represent your concerns before the regulatory agencies. As always, if you have questions or need more information, please let me know. If the agenda does not transmit properly, please let me know and I will send in a different format.

California Enterprise Development Authority
Paula Connors, Executive Director
California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) has sponsored formation of a financing authority for the primary purpose of issuing industrial development bonds. This is an underutilized program that is directed only to manufacturers. It allows manufacturers to borrow at tax exempt rates ( 0% below commercial rates, generally). It is very private sector oriented.
